(Spencer)– A Spencer teen suffered minor injuries when a vehicle she was driving collided with a train Wednesday.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says the collision happened just after 7:30 a.m. on 260th Avenue about a half mile south of county road B-24 just east of Spencer.
Authorities say 17-year-old Jamie Meyer of Spencer was northbound on 260th Avenue when she collided with a westbound I-E-C Train.
Meyer sustained minor injuries in the collision.
A 1995 Dodge Neon she was driving sustained an estimated six-thousand dollars in damage. No damage was reported to the train.
Authorities say charges are pending against Meyer.
