(Wahpeton)– Today’s (Mon.) blustery, rainy weather is preventing officials with Ralston and Associates, an Idaho consulting firm specializing in side scan sonar searches, from resuming their search for 13-year-old Collin Helmers who was on a dock barge that sank a week ago Saturday on West Lake Okoboji. The accident also claimed 31-year-old Matthew Molacek of Wallingford.
A press release issued this (Mon.) morning by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says the rainy, cold, windy weather is preventing any sonar work from being done today (Mon.).
