(Spirit Lake)– A public informational meeting regarding plans to re-surface Highways nine and 71 through Spirit Lake will be held next week.
The meeting, hosted by the city of Spirit Lake and the Iowa Department of Transportation is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. this coming Thursday, November 18th at the Dickinson County Community Building on the fairgrounds in Spirit Lake.
The public is invited.
In addition to the re-surfacing, the city has also proposed building an underpass for pedestrians and snowmobiles under the highway near the boat ramp on East Lake Okoboji. The project would also involve some storm sewer work.
The project is slated for this coming summer.
