(Emmetsburg)– Three people were taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle collision in Emmetsburg Thursday.
Emmetsburg police say 21-year-old Kirk Slinger of Emmetsburg was northbound on Highway 18 attempting to turn into the Pizza Hut parking lot when he turned into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by 49-year-old Doris Bliek of Spencer.
Bliek and two passengers in her vehicle were injured and taken to Palo Alto County Hospital for treatment.
Bliek’s vehicle sustained 75-hundred dollars in damage; 41-hundred dollars in damage was estimated to Slinger’s vehicle.
Slinger was cited for failure to yield upon making a left-turn.
