(Fostoria)– A two-vehicle collision near Fostoria Friday afternoon sent a Spirit Lake man to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says the mishap took place around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 71 and county road B-14.
Authorities say 83-year-old Chester Winslow of Milford was eastbound on B-14 when he stopped at the intersection with Highway 71. Authorities say Winslow then pulled into the path of a vehicle driven being driven on Highway 71 by 56-year-old Frank Osdoba of Spirit Lake.
Osdoba was taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital where he was treated and released.
A 1993 Buick driven by Osdoba sustained eight thousand dollars in damage; five thousand was estimated to a Ford pickup driven by Winslow.
Winslow was cited for failure to yield after a stop.
