(Spencer)– Three Clay county men will be spending the next several years behind bars for making and selling methamphetamine.
43-year-old Loren Berger of Spencer, 37-year-old Curtis Oberhelman of Greenville and 38-year-old Todd Williams of Spencer have all been setenced in recent months in U-S District Court in Sioux City.
Berger was sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to manufacture 50 grams or more of pure meth. He admitted in court that between April and October of 2002 he and others manufactured atleast 50 grams of the drug and sold it in northwest Iowa.
Curtis Oberhelman was sentenced to 11 years in prison for making and selling meth within a thousand feet of a public park in Dickens. Oberhelman admitted to making and selling over 50 grams of pure meth between 1995 and 2002.
And Todd Williams was sentenced to 10 years in prison for manufacturing two ounces of meth and selling over 50 grams of meth throughout northwest Iowa. He was also charged with possessing ammunition after a prior domestic abuse arrest.
