(Worthington)– The Minnesota State Patrol has released the names of those involved in a one-vehicle rollover Monday on Interstate 90 in Nobles county that killed two people.
The State Patrol says 43-year-old Amado Garcia Santizo and 40-year-old Elma Ariza Galineo, both of Worthington, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say they and four others were passengers in a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Felipe Ramos Toledo of Worthington. Toledo was taken to Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls with a head injury.
Also taken to Sioux Valley were the other passengers in the vehicle, including 20-year-old Marilyn Ortiz Rodriguez who sustained a broken femur; 20-year-old Yarisvett Mendez Borrero, also with a broken femur; Yasma Adali Lopez-Mendez…age unknown; and 21-month-old Susan Garcia Mazariegos. Both Lopez-Mendez and Mazariegos were treated for non-life threatening injuries. All are from Worthington.
The mishap occurred shortly before 12:30 p.m. Monday on I-90 at mile marker 29 near Adrian.
A 1996 Chevrolet Blazer Toledo was driving was totalled.
Freezing rain was falling at the time of the mishap, but authorities aren’t saying if it was a factor in the crash.
