(Sherburn, Mn.)– A two-vehicle crash Christmas Day on Interstate 90 at the Sherburn exit claimed the life of an Andover, Minnesota man.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 20-year-old Eric Johnson of Andover, Minnesota was driving a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder westbound when he lost control. The vehicle left the road, went through a median and traveled onto the eastbound lane of the interstate where it was struck broadside by a 2001 Ford Exhibition driven by 27-year-old Sara Knudson of Holly Springs, North Carolina.
Eric Johnson was pronounced dead on the scene. A passenger in his vehicle, 27-year-old Lynn Johnson of Andover, and Knudson, were taken to the Fairmont Hospital where they were treated and released.
The mishap took place shortly before 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
