(Spirit Lake)– You’ll notice some big changes in the coming year when it comes time to renew your motor vehicle registration.
Dickinson County Treasurer Linda Voss says new computer software will be used to process motor vehicle registrations in all 99 Iowa counties effective this coming Monday, January 3rd. Voss says her office will be closed that day to install the new software and to make some trial runs.
Voss is asking the public to be patient while they get all the bugs worked out of the new system.
Among the benefits customers will realize, Voss says, is that the new titles will be letter size and will include some new security features. And she says customer service should go more smoothly and quickly.
Voss adds you’ll still be able to renew title registrations on the internet as well.
