Arrest Made In Clay County Fairgrounds Vandalism Case

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– An Algona man has been arrested in connection with the vandalism spree at the Clay county fairgrounds back in October.

18-year-old Thomas Buscher of Algona has been arrested and charged with causing over three thousand dollars worth of damage on the fairgrounds in Spencer.

Spencer police received a tip from the Algona Police Department back in October that Buscher was involved with the vandalism spree in Spencer. Algona police had arrested Buscher for a similar incident he allegedly committed at the Kossuth county fairgrounds in Algona.

Buscher has been charged by the Spencer Police Department with eight counts of trespass and a felony charge of criminal mischief.

Buscher remains in the Kossuth county jail on the Algona charges. He will then be transferred to Spencer. He’s being held on a 25-thousand dollar bond.
