(Spirit Lake)– One person was injured Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident on 15th Street behind Wal-Mart in Spirit Lake.
Police say 44-year-old Michael Eddy of Spirit Lake was attempting to turn left off 15th Street onto a private driveway when he collided with a westbound vehicle driven by 38-year-old Brenda Schultz of Milford. The impact caused the vehicle Schultz was driving to leave the road…striking a utility pole.
Schultz was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare with minor injuries. No injuries were reported to Eddy, who was cited for failure to yield while turning left.
Damage to a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Eddy was estimated at 200-dollars; a 1995 Buick driven by Schultz sustained an estimated six thousand dollars in damage.
The mishap took place shortly after 1:30 p.m.
