(Spirit Lake)– Charges have been filed against two people as the result of a traffic stop Monday night at the corner of Highways nine and 71 and Gary Avenue in Spirit Lake.
Police say they pulled over a vehicle driven by 52-year-old Kenneth Versluis of Dickens for a traffic violation shortly before 11:00 p.m. Versluis was arrested and charged with driving while under suspension.
A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the arrest of a passenger, 35-year-old Lori Mortenson of Terril. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Versluis and Mortenson were booked into the Dickinson county jail.
