(Emmetsburg)– Palo Alto County Health Health System has a new administrator.
The board of trustees this week approved the hiring of Tom Lee as the new Administrator of the Emmetsburg Hospital.
Jim Hobart, Chairman of the Palo Alto County Health System Board of Trustees, says he’s excited to have Lee join the PACHS team, and believes Lee has a real understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing rural health care.
Prior to coming to Emmetsburg, Tom Lee was Vice President of Administrative Services for Avera St. Luke’s in Aberdeen, South Dakota. From 1997 to 2002, he was the lymphoma case manager for the stemcell transplant program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Lee has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Management from Southern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Creighton University. He also has a Masters Degree in Public Administration, and is a registered nurse and a licensed nursing facility administrator.
Tom Lee will officially begin his new job Monday, February 21st.
