(Arnolds Park)– The University of Okoboji Foundation is now accepting applications for grants to be awarded this year.
U of O Foundation grants are awarded only to local organizations that have federal 501-3C tax status. Grants are given for capital improvement projects, not for operating expenses.
Requests can be for any amount. Awards in the past have varied from 300-dollars to 300-thousand.
Recent grants include 50-thousand dollars to the Maritime Museum; 100-thousand do the Save The Park campaign and 300-thousand for the construction of the new Bedell Family YMCA.
University of Okoboji Grant application forms are available from the Foundation office in the Okoboji Spirit Center in Arnolds Park; by calling the office at 332-7177 or on-line at okobojifoundation.org.
Grant applications need to be returned by March 31st.
