LRH Trustees Approve New I-T System

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– The board of trustees of Lakes Regional Healthcare Monday approved the purchase of a new 1.8 million dollar information technology system from Computer Programs and Systems, Incorporated of Mobile, Alabama.

Hospital C-E-O Rich Kielman says the new system will allow them to expand their capabilities to better process patient information.

He says it will also all physicians access to patient information from remote locations.

Kielman says converting to the new system, along with training, will take place this coming fall. He expects the new system to go live about a year or so from now.

The new system will replace LRH’s existing I-T system that’s been in place 15 years.
