(Estherville)– It’s another spring semester at Iowa Lakes Community College…and another record enrollment…for the ninth consecutive year.
The grand total for enrollment, which includes all programs at Iowa Lakes Community College, is 3,935…up 5.7 perecnt from a year ago.
When compared with the past five years, the college’s enrollment is up nearly 18.5 percent.
Julie Carlson, Dean of Enrollment Management at ILCC, says most of the increase was in vocational classes, which were up 18.1 percent from a year ago.
Carlson says the number of Postsecondary and College Prep students was up 16.8 percent from a year ago; and credit hours were up by 2.57 percent.
Iowa Lakes Community College offers more than 100 areas of study at its locations in Algona, Emmetsburg, Estherville, Spencer and Spirit Lake. The college also provides training and retraining to employees of area businesses and industry, as well as continuing education courses.
