(Wahpeton)– Ice fishermen and others venturing out onto West Lake Okoboji need to use extreme caution.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says two areas opened up over the weekend–one is about 50 feet off Manhattan Point on the west side of West Lake Okoboji; the other is just off Pike’s Point where a vehicle went in over the weekend. The front end of another vehicle went into the open hole near Manhattan Point.
No injuries were reported.
Officials warn those areas could grow in size and new ones develop if the mild weather continues.
