(Terril)– Authorities say a call to a report of a house fire late Sunday night at a rural Terril residence turned out to be a false alarm.
Terril Fire Chief Tim Mathews says firefighters were called to 2374 300th Avenue shortly before 11:00 p.m.
Mathews says an occupant in the residence had reported smelling smoke in an upstairs room. Mathews says a thorough check turned up no sign of an actual fire.
