Milford Man Faces Federal Meth Charge

(Sioux City)– A Milford man has been charged in U-S District Court with conspiracy to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine within a thousand feet of the Okoboji Elementary School in Milford.

The charges against 41-year-old Todd Eugene Stockwell are contained in an indictment unsealed January 28th in U-S District Court in Sioux City.

The indictment alleges that between March 1997 and continuing through November 23rd, 2003 Stockwell manufactured more than 50 grams of pure methamphetamine within a thousand feet of the Okoboji Elementary School in Milford, having been previously convicted of a felony drug offense.

If convicted Stockwell faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 20 years imprisonment and a maximum sentence of life without the possibility of parole; an eight million dollar fine and atleast 10 years up to life of supervised release following any imprisonment.

Stockwell appeared January 28th in Federal Court and was released.

His next appearance is set for April 4th when a trial is scheduled.
