(Worthington, Mn.)– A three-vehicle accident Saturday morning on Interstate 90 west of Worthington as claimed the life of a Rushmore, Minnesota woman and injured four others.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the mishap involved vehicles driven by 26-year-old Christiana Alm of Rushmore…who was pronounced dead at the scene; 30-year-old Eric Dvorak of Worthington; and 52-year-old Robert McDonald of Lake Crystal, Minnesota.
Two passengers in the vehicle driven by Alm…her sons…five-year-old Dalton Nelson and six-year-old Dylan Nelson…were taken to the Worthington hospital and were transferred to Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls with unknown injuries.
Dvorak was taken to
the Worthington Hospital; a passenger in his vehicle…43-year-old Christopher Heinrichs of Worthington…was also taken to the Worthington Hospital. He was transferred to Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake with leg and foot injuries.
No injuries were reported to McDonald.
A 1987 Oldsmobile driven by Alm and a 1995 Oldsmobile driven by Dvorak were totalled; minor damage was reported to a 2002 Chrysler van driven by McDonald.
Authorities say the head-on crash took place around 10:00 a.m. Saturday.
