(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson county board of supervisors last week approved salary increases for elected officials as recommended by the Compensation Board.
The vote was not unanimous, though, and one supervisor was absent for the meeting.
With supervisor Mardi Allen casting the lone no vote and fellow supervisor Wayne Northey absent, the supervisors voted three-to-one to approve the recommended increases of zero percent for the County Attorney; three percent for the supervisors; and five percent each for the Treasurer, Recorder, Sheriff and Auditor.
The county’s Conference Board has recommended a five percent raise for the County Assessor. That will be acted on at a public hearing set for 11:30 a.m. March 1st.
