State Senator Jack Kibbie Escapes Injury In Car Wreck

November 22, 2014

(Perry)– Senate Democratic President Jack Kibbie has escaped injury in a car wreck in central Iowa.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office says the 75-year-old Emmetsburg Democrat apparently fell asleep and lost control of his car on state highway 141 just west of Perry Sunday afternoon.

Officials say his car crossed the highway, hit a cable guardrail, breaking 12 poles and about 210 feet of guardrail.

Kibbie wasn’t hurt.

The mishap took place around 3:00 p.m. Sunday.
