One Person Injured In Jeep/Snowplow Accident

(Worthington, Mn.)– A two-vehicle mishap Friday on Interstate 90 in Nobles county sent one person to the hospital.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a 2001 Jeep driven by 51-year-old David Smith of Coal Valley, Illinois and a snowplow/sander truck driven by 50-year-old Carl Holtz of Adrian, Minnesota collided in a rear-end-type accident.

56-year-old Diane Smith, a passenger in the vehicle David Smith was driving, was taken to the Worthington Hospital with chest and back pain. No other injuries were reported.

Extensive damage was reported to the vehicle driven by Smith with minor damage to the snowplow/sander truck.

The mishap took place shortly before 9:00 a.m. Friday on the eastbound lanes of I-90 at mile marker 49.
