Wallingford Fire Dept. To Get New Pumper Truck

November 22, 2014

(Wallingford)– The Wallingford Fire Department is getting a new truck.

Fire Chief Jarrod Fischer says the purchase of the new truck was approved Wednesday evening by High Lake and Twelve Mile Lake Townships and the city of Wallingford.

The new 2005 GMC pumper is being purchased from Central States Fire Apparatus of South Dakota. Delivery is expected in early May.

Fischer says the new truck will be equipped with the latest gear, including a 1,000 gallon tank; 750 PSI Certified Midship Pump with top mount controls; a generator with lighting system; deck gun, shelving and brackets for air packs; and additional lighting.

Fischer says the truck will replace a 1964 Chevy pumper.
