(Spirit Lake)– A special honor for a local school administrator.
Spirit Lake Elementary Principal Jon Wiebers has been nominated for the 2005 Iowa Elementary Principal of the Year Award.
Wiebers was nominated by his peers and selected as a finalist for the award by a committee of Iowa elementary principals. He will be recognized at the School of Administrators of Iowa awards banquet August 2nd in Des Moines.
Wiebers has been Principal at Spirit Lake Elementary since 1999. Prior to that he served two years as the Elementary Principal and Wall Lake View Auburn. Prior to becoming an Elementary Principal he taught third, fourth and fifth grades at the Manson Northwest Webster School District for ten years.
