(Spirit Lake)– Spirit Lake police say 20 counts of violating a no-contact order have been filed against an Everly man.
Authorities say the charges were filed against 44-year-old Wesley Thiessen. He was arrested on the warrants by Clay county authorities March 24th and was booked into the Dickinson county jail.
Following his release authorities allege Thiessen violated the order another 10 times April 2nd and 3rd. That resulted in Spirit Lake police filing two counts of stalking against Thiessen…each a class “D” felony. Thiessen was arrested again Wednesday by Clay county authorities. He’s being held in the Dickinson county jail on bond of 19,500-dollars.
Spirit Lake police were assisted in their investigation by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and the Center Against Abuse and Sexual Assault.
