(Milford)– The “for sale” sign is still out at Boji Bay water park.
Following a closed session Monday to review an offer from owner Jack Clark, the council voted to turn it down. Several council members feel Boji Bay would not be a wise investment of tax-payer funds. They look at it as a business that needs to cash flow. City Administrator Brian Reed adds that as of right now the city of Milford simply doesn’t have the money needed to make a capital outlay on the facility and he doesn’t feel the city has the capacity to bond for it. Reed says the city wishes Boji Bay well and hopes a private interest will buy it and keep the water park open.
Reed wouldn’t disclose how much the city was being asked to pay for the water park.
As of now it appears Boji Bay will not be open this summer.
