Tedesco Resigns As E’Burg Supt.; Accepts Job In Storm Lake

November 22, 2014

(Storm Lake)– The Superintendent of the Emmetsburg school district is leaving.

Doctor Paul Tedesco will be the new Superintendent of the Storm Lake School District beginning July 1st.

The Storm Lake Board of Education Wednesday evening picked Tedesco to replace retiring Superintendent Doctor Bill Kruse.

Tedesco has had a lengthy career in education…including a principal and athletic director in Ida Grove in the 1980’s. His first job as superintendent was in the Harris-Lake Park district in the early 1990’s. He’s been at Emmetsburg the past seven years. Tedesco says he’s looking forward to coming to Storm Lake…which he says has a steady to increasing enrollment, which allows maintaining current programs and doing new things for the benefit of the students.

Tedesco said he’s proud that Emmetsburg has strong test scores and hasn’t reduced educational offerings despite a declining enrollment.
