Well-Known Lakes Area Restaurant Changes Hands

November 22, 2014

(Arnolds Park)– A well-known restaurant in the lakes area is changing hands.

Effective this coming Monday, April 18th, Chef Tom Wiley, formerly of Minverva’s in Okoboji, will assume ownership of Gepetto’s Fine Dining in the Central Emporium, operating as Wileywood Investments, Incorporated, under a lease agreement with Emporium owner Dick Brown.

Gepetto’s will be closed beginning Sunday, April 17th and will re-open at 5:00 p.m. Monday, May 2nd with an entirely new menu concept, wine and beverage lists.

Chef Tom says he’ll be developing an a la carte style menu offering many signature dishes including steaks, chops and seafood along with scratch desserts, unique appetizers, side dishes and salads.

Wiley says he feels fortunate to be able to operate a prime restaurant location in the lakes area with great support from family and friends.

Chef Tom Wiley had been at Minerva’s since January, 2000 where he most recently was General Manager.
