Meth Lab Remnants Found In Osceola County

November 22, 2014

(Sibley)– Authorities in Osceola county are investigating the remnants of a meth lab found earlier this week in a rural area.

The Sheriff’s Office says it received a report Wednesday about two bags of garbage in a ditch along county road L-40, about a half mile south of 110th Street.

Deputies and a meth lab-trained technician determined the bags contained items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine and came from a red phosphorous meth lab.

The citizen who spotted the bags attended a meth-watch program put on by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. The citizen credited the program for raising awareness of meth lab dumpsites and what they may contain.

An investigation continues.
