(Spirit Lake)– A Superior man has been arrested on drug charges as the result of a traffic stop around 8:00 a.m. this (Wed.) morning in Spirit Lake.
Spirit Lake police conducted the stop when an officer noticed a vehicle driven by 33-year-old David Daniel go through a red light at the corner of Hill Avenue and Highways nine and 71.
The vehicle was impounded after authorities determined it was not registered and that Daniel had no insurance and was driving with an expired license. Authorities say a subsequent discovery of the vehicle turned up marijuana and paraphernalia.
Daniel was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the Dickinson county jail.
