November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– Two Spencer residents are recovering from injuries after they were hit by a car in downtown Spencer Monday night.

Spencer police say the collision took place around 10:45 p.m. at the intersection of East Eighth Street and Grand Avenue.

David Faber and Raymond Thompson…both of Spencer…were walking westbound across Grand Avenue in the crosswalk from the northeast corner of the intersection when they were struck by a pickup driven by Samuel Chapman of Spencer.

Both Faber and Thompson were taken by ambulance to Spencer hospital with incapacitating injuries.

Chapman was cited for failure to yield to pedestrians.
