(Okoboji)– A two-vehicle crash shortly before 9:30 a.m. Tuesday just north of Okoboji sent one person to the hospital.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says 75-year-old William McDonald of Orleans was northbound on 235th Avenue when he ran a stop sign and collided with a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Sandra Vondrak of Spencer who was eastbound on 175th Street, or Stake-out Road.
McDonald was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare with what was described as minor injuries. No injuries were reported to Vondrak.
A 1998 Ford van driven by McDonald and a 1997 Dodge Intrepid driven by Vondrak were both totaled.
McDonald was charged with failure to obey a stop sign.
