(Lake Park)– A Lake Park man escaped serious injury in a one-vehicle crash last (Wed.) evening northeast of Lake Park.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says 18-year-old Nicholas Hemphill was westbound on 125th Street near 160th Avenue when he lost control of a 1996 Olds Cutlas. The vehicle left the road to the left, striking two culverts. From there it traveled into some water, eventually coming to rest of dry land.
Hemphill was ejected from the vehicle. He was checked over for possible injuries.
The mishap took place around 10:15 p.m.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Lakes Park Police Department, Lake Park Fire and Rescue and Lakes Regional Healthcare Ambulance.
