(Spirit Lake)– A traffic stop late Friday night in Spirit Lake has resulted in drug charges against a Spirit Lake woman.
Spirit Lake police say they stopped a vehicle shortly before 11:30 p.m. for a minor traffic violation.
Upon investigating officers discovered the driver, 18-year-old Jamie K. Williams of Spirit Lake, was in possession of drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine and marijuana. Williams was charged with possession of methamphetamine…a serious misdemeanor; possession of marijuana…also a serious misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor. Williams was booked into the Dickinson county jail.
Authorities say the case remains under investigation.
