(Spirit Lake)– A traffic stop late Thursday afternoon in Spirit Lake landed three men in jail on drug charges.
Spirit Lake police say they pulled over a 1998 Dodge van shortly after 4:00 p.m. for a traffic violation on Highway 71 south of County Home Road. A subsequent investigation resulted in an officer finding a green plant material in the vehicle that was identified as marijuana, along with some drug paraphernalia.
The driver, 29-year-old Jamie Manwarren of Everly and two passengers–25-year-old Joey Doran of Spencer and 25-year-old Billy Doran of Milford were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All three were booked into the Dickinson county jail.
