Meth Dumpsite Discovered In Rural Osceola County

November 22, 2014

(Sibley)– Osceola county authorities say they’ve found a meth lab dumpsite in a rural area of the county.

The Sheriff’s Office says it received a complaint Sunday about some garbage in a ditch east of county road L-40 on 200th Street.

Upon investigating, a deputy determined the garbage contained items used in the production of methamphetamine. A clandestine lab officer from the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office later examined the garbage and determined it was from a meth lab…possibly one that utilizes red phosphorous.

Authorities say their investigation continues.
