(Milford)– The Milford City Council Monday acted on a couple of ordinances related to RAGBRAI which will be coming through town July 25th.
One requires all vendors–be they for food or non-food items–to have a permit. All permits are to be issued by the RAGBRAI Committee. The other ordinance closes alleys around the city parking lot that day.
In other business, the council authorized the purchase of 10 new garbage dumpsters for the sanitation department and changed the rate structure to encourage the more timely return of the dumpsters.
Discussion on the Lower Gar Outlet and Sixth Street culverts was also on the agenda at the county’s request, but no one representing the county showed up. The issue was dropped for now atleast.
