(Emmetsburg)– The next Superintendent of the Emmetsburg school district is coming from within.
Meeting in special session this (Wed.) morning, the Emmetsburg school board selected Middle School Principal John Joynt as the district’s new Superintendent.
Joynt succeeds Paul Tedesco who has taken the Superintendent job at Storm Lake.
Joynt was born and raised in Emmetsburg. He’s been the Middle School Principal the last three years. Prior to that he served as Curriculum Director at Emmetsburg for six years; and before that, Joynt was a teacher.
Joynt takes over as Superintendent July 1st.
