Former Chicken Plant Owner Pays Restitution

November 22, 2014

(Worthington, Mn.)– More than four years after paying his employees with bad checks, a former chicken plant owner has paid all the money he owed in restitution.

Nobles County Attorney Gordon Moore says the court received a last payment of more than 34-thousand dollars from Tesfaye Mitslal this week.

Mitslal pleaded guilty in 2003 to issuing dishonored checks. He owed about 53-thousand dollars to 65 victims who were employees of Awra Doro Incorporated in Worthington. The chicken plant failed in 2001.

Moore said the victims should receive their remaining payments soon.
