(Spirit Lake)– Severe thunderstorms produced hail, strong wind and even funnel clouds in some areas Wednesday evening, but fortunately no damage or injuries were reported locally.
Tornado warnings were issued for several counties, including Dickinson, based on reports of funnel clouds and radar reports of possible tornadoes. Fortunately, no touchdowns were reported.
The National Weather Service says much cooler, drier conditions are expected the next couple of days with a return to warmer temperatures and humidity along with another chance of thunderstorms late Saturday and Sunday.
