(Omaha, Ne.)– Girls and Boys Town has a new Executive Director.
Father Steven Boes was inaugurated today (Fri.). He succeeds Father Val Peter who retired from the position.
Prior to accepting the Girls and Boys Town post, Father Boes worked with Native American children at a mission in Winnebago, Nebraska. He’s a native of Carroll, Iowa and a long-time resident of Elgin, Nebraska.
Girls and Boys Town cares for 43-thousand children from 19 sites in 15 states and the District of Columbia. Locally, Boys Town has a seasonal facility at Terrace Park on West Lake Okoboji.
