Three Primghar juveniles are accused of causing over a-thousand dollars worth of damage to the Primghar Library over the fourth-of-july holiday weekend.
Employees at the Library returned to work on Tuesday to find the facility vandalized. Officers with the O’Brien County Sheriffs Office responded to the scene to investigate. They discovered that a small amount of cash had been stolen, and the vandals had discharged a fire extinguisher inside the library, causing significant damage.
A follow-up investigation led to the arrest of 3 Primghar boys; ages 11, 12, and 13. The deputies determined the boys entered the library several times over the holiday weekend by jimmying a door lock.
The estimated cost for cleanup is over 1-thousand dollars.
The 3 boys were released to the custody of their parents pending a future court date.
