Two Spirit Lake women were charged after a traffic stop early Saturday morning. Police chief Jeff Hansen tells KUOO News the driver of the vehicle, 19 year old Rene Cooklin was charged with operating under the influence and possession of alcohol under the legal limit. Her passenger, 20 year old Stefanie LeFevre was charged with possession of controlled substance methamphetamine, possession of controlled substance marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and also having an open container in a motor vehicle.
The traffic stop was made about 1:30 Saturday morning.
