New Spec. Building Ready For Occupancy

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– Spencer’s newest speculative building is open and ready for business.

Nearly a hundred people gathered Tuesday in Spencer’s Tech Park for a ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly completed building. The project is a partnership between the city, Spencer Industries foundation, Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative and Cornbelt Power.

Steve Grell, President of the Spencer Industries Foundation, says the 20-thousand sqare foot building is aimed at housing a wide array of businesses.

Grell says several similar spec buildings have been built in Spencer and so far it’s been a successful venture.

The new building is on nearly three acres of land in the new Spencer Technical Park on West Fourth Street in Spencer.
