(Spencer)– An Emmetsburg woman jailed in Clay county is now facing additional charges after an alleged incident with a jailer early this (Friday) morning.
23-year-old Sheila Sundall is charged with assaulting a Clay county jailer after being confronted for being unruly just after midnight. Sundall also damaged items in her cell during the altercation and was removed with the help of some Spencer police officers.
The jailer suffered minor injuries that didn’t require medical attention.
Sundall is facing charges of assault, disorderly conduct and fourth degree criminal mischief.
Sundall was initially booked into the Clay county jail following a traffic stop in late June. Deputies found a cylinder filled with anhydrous ammonia and several meth precursors in her vehicle at the time of the stop. She was charged with possession of meth with the intent to manufacture, possession of precursors, possession of marijuana, transporting anhydrous ammonia and operating while intoxicated.
She was booked into the jail on a 110-thousand dollar bond. She is now awaiting trial.
