(Spirit Lake)– A Terril woman was injured Tuesday when a vehicle she was driving collided with a culvert in Spirit Lake.
Spirit Lake police say 49-year-old Darlene Sheldon was eastbound on Highways nine and 71 when her vehicle left the road and collided with a culvert near the “Tacklebox”. Sheldon was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare. There was no word on the extent of her injuries.
Four thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 1997 Subaru Outback driven by Sheldon; 100-dollars in damage was estimated to the culvert, owned by the Iowa Department of Transportation.
The mishap took place shortly before 5:00 p.m.
