(Okoboji)– One person was injured Sunday evening in a collision involving two mopeds in Okoboji.
Okoboji police say 19-year-old Brianna Bailey of Marshall, Minnesota was riding a moped with a group of four friends. Authorities say Bailey collided with the rear of a moped driven by 20-year-old Alexander Schipkey of Brookings, South Dakota who had slowed to turn off 175th Street into the Ranch Amusement Park.
Bailey was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare where she was treated for what was described as minor injuries. No injuries were reported to Schipkey.
Authorities say Bailey WAS wearing a helmet.
The mishap took place around 8:20 p.m. Sunday.
