Atleast Four Express Interest In Milford City Council Vacancy

November 22, 2014

(Milford)– Atleast four people are interested in a vacancy on the Milford city council.

City Administrator Brian Reed says Don Gude, Keith Feller, Tom Cooper and Fern Sybersma have expressed interest in the seat left empty by the resignation of Detlef Ball who has moved from the community.

Under Iowa Code, the city council has 40 days from the date of Ball’s resignation in which to appoint someone, with the remainder of the term to be put on the ballot in the November election.

The council Monday set Wednesday, September 7th at 6:00 p.m. as the date and time for a special meeting to make an appointment.
