Correctionville Man Injured In Highway 60 Mishap

November 22, 2014

(Ashton)– A Correctionville man was injured Thursday when a vehicle he was driving collided with a bridge in Osceola county.

The Sheriff’s Office says 28-year-old John Senski was travelling north on a new unfinished section of Highway 60 when he fell asleep at the wheel. Authorities say the vehicle collided with a one-foot high concrete bridge approach about a half mile north of 230th Street. Deputies say the vehicle came to rest on the finished part of the concrete bridge.

Senski was treated on the scene by the Ashton ambulance. He was then taken to a Sheldon hospital and was later transferred to a Sioux City hospital.

A 1995 Pontiac Senski was driving sustained an estimated four-thousand dollars in damage.

The mishap took place around 6:00 a.m. Thursday a half mile north of Ashton.
